This has been an interesting Saturday.
For the first time ever, I have voted in the American Presidential Elections. My vote won't give my candidate any electoral votes as my state will vote for the other guy, but at the very least it will count in the popular vote. This state is likely to vote 60-40, but wouldn't it be great if we pulled a 55-45, or even closer? Hubby and I dressed up for the early voting, took some pictures, and after casting the ballot celebrated with going out to dinner to a place we frequented when we just started dating. This election has had quite an impact on our lives, and I suspect we will be glued to the news for the next 10 days.
The weather is gorgeous here; I ran 5 miles today and Hubby and I plan to get out on a bike ride tomorrow. What a great way to take a break from work!
It appears that I have been blogging for a year :)

Voting is all about turnout so way to turnout for your candidate! Who knows in this election?
Congrats on the voting, run (5 miles = awesome!) and the blogiversary!
Happy blogiversary!! I don't come here very often right now, since I'm so busy, but I plan to go back when it's all over and catch up on all the reading. And congratulation on voting for the candidate of your choice!!
Congratulations on both counts!
Thank you all!
I am really excited that my vote will actually get counted. I have voted in the past in Ukrainian elections where a re-vote was called for due to all the fraud; that was quite a bummer! Luckily, I am not worried about that here.
Happy Blogiversary! I need to get my ballot in the mail today!
Thanks, Jennie! And I hope that ballot gets in on time!
My husband voted in his first U.S. election on Friday! We had to wait 75 minutes, but we were glad to get it done early. That's great you went out to celebrate! Congratulations!
Addy - thanks! And its great that finally your husband gets to vote too!
