Somehow, when families get together, out come the most bizarre of the stories. Here's one of the ones I got to hear this year.
Hubby's Uncle to Hubby's Dad: You still owe me those $2 plus the cumulative interest over the past 30 years or so!
Me: Did you guys have a bet?
Hubby's Uncle: Well, you know how your husband and my son were born a day apart? The two of us had a bet going on which of the cousins was going to be born first, and I won!
Me: I see.
Hubby's Uncle: The hurricane season 9 months before the boys were born was a lot of fun! [makes a dirty old uncle face]
Me: I think I can live without the details. [chuckling]
Hubby's Uncle: Oh no you can't! I am sure [Hubby's Dad who is now fully blushing] wants grand kids, so you better learn all about it!
