Cool! I am devoid of all original blogging ideas this week, so I'll do this one soon!
This meme strangely favors those who have been to London/Paris/Rome/etc. (not that I don't want to see all of those, but I haven't yet!!), so I suspect you will be marking a lot more items than me!
I was a wee bit surprised that you haven't been to Russia...
When I see that list I can invision the 1000 virtual 'shame on yous' I would receive when I posted it w/ approximately 1.5 bolded entries. Epic!
That's a fun one. I am in need of inspiration lately, so I will do it too.
Cath - haven't had the desire to visit a country that considers my country its appendage and its nation/language/etc superior to mine.
Hermitage - no comment :) (j/k)
AA - I hear you, too much going on this month for any coherent posting!
Well, I understand that... but sometimes it is necessary to visit certain places, regardless of desire. Conferences, cheaper flights out of bigger cities, etc.
I have neither actively avoided it nor actively tried to go. It's a 24 hour minimum train ride from where I grew up, so really not that close :)
LOL, yes that is too far.
When I lived in Scotland I knew several rabidly anti-English Scots who refused point blank to visit England - until they realised they could save substantial amounts of money if they took the train down to London and then flew from Heathrow. They still moaned about the effin' English people they met, how horrible everyone was, etc etc etc. You'd think the Battle of Falkirk happened in about 1992, the way some people go on...
(I can say that because I have some Scottish blood, to go with the 50% Irish and assorted other British variants)
I think as long as something happened before you life time, it may not really matter how long before - 10 or 1000 years :)
