In a hampster wheel

Well, not literally, but it sure feels like it. In a surprise move, Advisor decided to pay attention to me this week. Cue pleasant surprise on what I have gotten accomplished since the last time Advisor paid attention, excitement about the developments, and completely unrealistic publication deadlines (since all this work happened overnight while Advisor wasn't looking, it shouldn't take more than two weeks to wrap up, right?!?). Yes, I am glad to get the feedback, and it is never a bad thing to impress one's advisor, but man, when it rains, it pours.
