Road trip foul
What better time for a battery light to come on than two thirds of the way into a long road trip? We stopped to check it out, and should have a new alternator installed in the morning. Not to waste any time, we picked a better hotel than we would otherwise stay at, took a nap, went for a swim, had some food delivered (how else do you get food without a car?), and plan to sleep for 10 hours straight tonight. Hopefully, we will be on the road again in the morning.

I hope this doesn't get you at your arrival destination too late, otherwise it sounds like a nice reprieve.
Bummer! But it sounds like you are making the best out of lousy situation.
Taking a break at a nice hotel is definitely a good thing! Hope your car is up and running soon. Have a safe trip!

PD - thanks! They did fix the car the next day, and we were able to leave. On location now!
Jennie - it did a little in that we didn't have much time to find a place to live, but I think we are catching up a bit by now.
