I have had this project hanging over my head for years, literally. A waste of time on one hand, it was never getting enough priority to get completed, as every time I would get started on it, something more important/urgent/interesting would come up right as I was starting to remember where I left off. On the other hand, it is an unspoken requirement for my graduation, and I had no way of getting out of doing it.
Finally, I have finished it. All done. I can move on with my life now*.
*Not in the "I have graduated" kind of way, but still!
