- I have missed my house. Can I please just pick it up and move it with me instead of having to live in a crappy, tiny apartment in my new home state?
- I am still allergic to insects and plants in this state. And my skin still hates the local water.
- I hate this weather. Blergh. Running here totally sucks. Or just being outside, for that matter.
- I have a negative reaction towards the campus. I think I have been scarred forever.
- I desperately want for these next few weeks to go well, so I can leave again in peace.
- I will miss my house.

OMG, I hate my campus too! The second I step foot on it I start to feel bad.
Too bad you can't move your house. Still, I guess it's nice that a visit back can remind you how awesome the new place is.
EGF - in a strange way, I am relieved to hear I am not the only one with the immediate negative reaction towards the campus!
I am totally with you on missing your house! Apartments suck (when you have better alternatives).
My ex-labmate just wrote me today asking if I started to dread going to school the closer I got to graduation. I totally did. Now after graduating, I HATE going there. Ongoing collaborations and my husband being there still require it occasionally. So glad my old advisor would rather meet at the bar than his office!
