The online workforce

I wanted to share with you an awesome resource I have recently heard of. It is called the Mechanical Turk, and is provided by Amazon. It basically lets you create computer tasks for people, and have Amazon match you up with people willing to do said tasks. It is also quite cheap; a quick peek indicates that people pay $0.01 for a task that takes 10 minutes!

I have seen it used in research where a human is needed to make correlations between things, etc. Or you can use it to see how different people would answer the questions differently. Can you imagine all the things you can research by having unlimited human answers to peruse? The possibilities are endless!
