America needs oil, no? So how about U.S. strikes a deal where, in return for a discount on oil prices, a nation that may or may be the best of allies to U.S. gets to have a military base on U.S. soil! It will build the relationship between the countries, and the U.S. will get a break on the oil prices!
Damn it.
