The trouble with data

About a month ago, I was complaining that I didn't have a way to generate a range of data to prove my hypothesis. Then, I figured out how to generate said data, and started trying to figure out how to analyze it correctly. By now, I have disproved my original hypothesis, and am beating my head against the wall until I come up with a better hypothesis. And so the cycle continues.
